Jazz re-sign backup guard Watson

Posted Dec 10 2011 2:35AM

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Utah Jazz have re-signed fan favorite Earl Watson as their backup point guard.

Watson sent out a tweet Friday afternoon saying he was excited to be back in Salt Lake City. Terms of Watson's deal were not immediately available.

Al Jefferson was among those reporting as the Jazz prepared to open camp. His arrival came a day after his live-in girlfriend was arrested in a domestic dispute.

Rookie lottery picks Enes Kanter and Alec Burks both signed their contracts Friday and were expected to participate in the first practice.
