Suns Fire First Volley In Series

I've been privileged to sit courtside and describe each of the previous four Spurs-Suns series. The level of play when these two teams face off in the postseason is off the charts. Make no mistake about it, the Suns played at an extremely high level in Game 1...and they needed to.

Twice the Spurs clawed back from 14 point deficits, only to see Steve Nash work his magic or Jason Richardson hit a corner three. The challenge facing Phoenix is they may need to play that way throughout the entire series.

The Spurs are not an easy out. and some of the best Spurs series wins in the postseason came after a game one loss...and that includes last week's ouster of the Mavericks.
